The school is incorporated into the urban block pattern on the former airfield in Riem, where two spacious courtyards open out towards the landscape garden in the east. A transparent central hall acts as an extension of the street through the school, simultaneously connecting the school's two blocks, which are essentially characterised by solid wall and roof plates.)
